JOB TITLE: Assistant Principal CONTRACT: 207-226 days REPORTS TO: Principal DEPARTMENT OR CAMPUS: Assigned Campus and Level ROLE AND PURPOSE Assist the school principal in overall administration of instructional program and campus level operations. Coordinate assigned student activities and services.
QUALIFICATION Education/Certification: Master’s degree in educational administration Texas assistant principal or other appropriate Texas certificate Certified Professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS) appraiser
Special Knowledge/Skills: Thorough understanding of school operations Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to coordinate campus support operations
Experience: Two years experience as a classroom teacher Experience in an instructional leadership role preferred
Principal Certification EC-12
Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) certification
